Driven by the core ethos of "illuminating the life of every individual," the Central Hindi Institute has achieved the extraordinary feat—spanning the long, memorable, and gratifying period from its inception in 1961 to the present day—of training thousands of students from non-Hindi-speaking regions and abroad in the Hindi language; furthermore, the Institute has played a pivotal role in securing a distinct global identity for Hindi.
Every year, students from various countries come to the institute to pursue Hindi studies; consequently, the institute’s Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium serves as a microcosm representing both a "Mini-India" and a "Mini-World." The Kendriya Hindi Sansthan has always held a unique standing in the field of promoting and propagating the Hindi language; further enhancing this distinguished reputation, the Government of India has conferred upon the institute the status of a "Deemed-to-be University of a Special Category."
The Institute will remain ceaselessly committed to making Hindi all-inclusive on a global stage, and to acquainting the entire world with the Indian knowledge tradition through the medium of Hindi language and literature.
With best wishes for the bright future of the institute.
